Horsemint
Horsemint is a root that is indigenous to both the low country of the Carolinas and areas in New York. The plant
is boiled, and its tea is taken as a remedy for colds and fever (one to two cups a day for nine days). It is also
given to mothers after delivery. Combined with pine tops, life everlasting, and mullein, a decoction can be made
as a remedy for colds and other ailments.
