Rickwood Field in Pictures
Mr. Peeples is a lifelong neighbor of Rickwood Field and loves to recall his memories as a young boy, peeking through the fence to catch a glimpse of the legendary Birmingham Black Barons. David Brewer, seen here in front of the Rickwood scoreboard, acts as the main liaison for the Friends of Rickwood, an organization devoted to the maintenance, restoration, and preservation of the field.

These signs are reproductions of what would have been on the walls during the days of the Birmingham Black Barons.
	Friends of Rickwood and others still maintain the field so it is available for visitors and local schools to use.
This beautiful field is still open for use, and retired Black Barons like Archie "Dropo" Young still enjoy coming by and hitting a few home runs.
